What is the EvoWalk system?
EvoWalk consists of the EvoWalk Functional Electrical Stimulation device and the EVOWALK app. The EvoWalk device stimulates your muscles externally at the right time, to help pick up your foot and bend your knee. The app helps you control the device and track your mobility over time with detailed data about your walking.
Who is a candidate for the EvoWalk system?
If you are experiencing foot drop as a result of a stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Traumatic Brain Injury, or Spinal Cord Injury, you are most likely a candidate. Please consult your physician to determine if FES is the right treatment method for you.
What are the potential benefits of using the EvoWalk system?

What is Functional Electrical Stimulation?
Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) is the use of low-level electrical stimulation to help restore and improve muscular function. FES is designed to mimic natural movements and assist patients in leading a more natural life. Typically, FES has been used in treatment plans for patients with neurological conditions or injuries.
Does Functional Electrical Stimulation hurt?
FES should not hurt. Most people describe it to be a tingling sensation. The initial step of treatment is for your therapist to determine the correct level of stimulation for you to ensure that the EVOWALK device and stimulation is working properly and without discomfort.
Is EvoWalk FDA-cleared?
Yes! As of January 2024, the EvoWalk is cleared by the FDA for use in the United States. Learn more here.
How can I get started using the EvoWalk system?
EvoWalk has recently been FDA-Cleared and will be used at partner physical therapy clinics throughout the US.
